Trailrider & Backcountry Breaks — Minimum stay 3 days

The time of year you visit us will dictate your daily routine, we aim to ride between 3 and 5 hours a day taking in a food and drink stop at a local cafe/ bar sometime during the ride. In the hotter months we recommend an early start and sometimes take a van to uplift to higher altitude routes and start points. We have an unrivaled local trail knowledege spending much of our free time exploring, new routing and compiling an inexhaustible supply of XC and Enduro style rides of all grades. To enable you to get the best from your stay with us we will suggest and advise on an appropriate route and start time taking into account weather, fitness, ability and how many Cuba Libra's you drank the night before. However, the final decision on the days itinerary and pace will be left to you. The riding here can be strenuous and in our experience energy levels drop dramatically after 3 continuous days riding making it beneficial, but only optional to take a day's break off the bike. The area has much to offer (see our Other Activities and Local Area links) and we will only be to pleased to advise on and arrange anything you see of interest. We retain a low client to guide ratio using two guides with the quad usually close at hand and only a radio call away. Our ultimate goal on this break is for you to get the best from both your bike and the local area, whether we ride everyday or not will always be left to you.

Multi Day Tours & Overnight Bivis

The vast expanse of the Filabres with its network of unsurfaced trails offers endless spectacular touring and expeditioning options in a true wilderness environment. Whether its a multi–day tour or just a one night bivi bash Mountain Biking Spain will happily advise, arrange, accompany or support your adventure. We will use our extensive local knowledge along with input from yourself regarding daily mileage, severity of route and preferd accommodation to create a bespoke excursion just for you or your group.

Enduro Long Weekend

Over the last couple of years visiting guests have shown an ever increasing interest in the Spanish Racing scene. Spanish Enduros offer all that is good about MTB racing, horrendous lung bursting climbs that often take in 1,000+ meter of climbing in one go, super technical descents that go on forever the like of which you will only find here in Andalucia. All this coupled with a friendly Fiesta atmospheres! The best of these events appear on a yearly basis and offer sit down food for the presentation of the trophies by the local mayor, and can involve whole communities. Accommodation and Guiding Packages

The Bike Almanzora House is available on a bed and (self catering) breakfast basis with bed linen and towels supplied. It has every modern convenience including free broadband internet use and can be booked by groups of 3 to 6 people for 60 euros per person per day or part day.

The Biker's Lodge (Silver Ruina) is available on a self catering basis. You will need a sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner depending on the time of year you visit. A green option in a spectacular setting that can be booked by groups or individuals from 52 euros per person per day which includes guiding.

Casa Juan, Cantoria is available as a sole occupancy self catering option with bedding and towels supplied, sleeping up to six people for 75 euros per night.

Casa Acietuna, El Arroyo Albanchez is available as a sole occupancy self catering option with bedding and towels supplied, sleeping up to two people for 30 euros per night, 180 euros per week, or 550 euros per month.
